You know Donald Trump doesn’t really want to be president. He is a businessman, through and through. At heart, he is a salesman, selling something, and from the looks of it, he is selling out!
What Donald Trump wants is publicity in order for his businesses to keep making money and as long as he is a blustering potential presidential candidate, he gets what he wants: Free publicity. I mean, look at this post, even I am giving him free publicity by way of this blog. You can’t pay for the amount of publicity the Donald is getting…well I’m sure Trump can pay for it, but why should he have to when all he has to do is continue to spout his ridiculousness and the cameras/microphones are all over him. And he is loving this to the Nth degree too.
Tell me, is the theory I proposed so out of the realm of possibility?
Is there any real possibility, that with all of his outlandish ideas and separatist ways, the American people would actually vote him into the White House?
I know, I know, stranger things have happened, but usually, candidates like him have a fiery presence for a little while and then they fade away. The Donald is lasting longer because, like I said earlier, at heart, he is a businessman…and secondly, he LOVES all those cameras and microphones. He is a would-be celebrity. His show, The Apprentice, has replaced him and so he has to find another way to be on TV at all times. Isn’t this sweeps season? He may not be on The Apprentice, but he’s still in our living rooms on a regular basis.
The good news is that America is tiring of his antics. Hopefully, the media will catch up and simply stop giving him the coverage. The late night shows love him too, so you may have to endure that if you’re a fan of late night TV, but he (and his kids) has even appeared on Wendy Williams, Kelly and Michael, and The View, which are daytime shows, so escaping his presence on the airwaves will take active avoidance of some shows that may be on your favorites list, but come on, America, we can do this.
Is this who we want to live in our White House for four years, taking over the airwaves with “news” conferences whenever he likes regarding issues that are of no real concern to America? Is this who we want making decisions about our relationships with our global counterparts? Is this who we want directing our Armed Forces when it comes to military efforts and wartime activities? Let’s clear the orange-colored glasses we’ve been wearing and stop being persuaded by all the money we know he has and get back to sensible thinking. We need a true presidential candidate to take the podium and come to the forefront. I won’t put my two cents in about who it should be (at least not in this post), but I (and we all) know who it shouldn’t be…and I know you agree. You’ve just been too busy laughing and being entertained to turn the channel.
